Are you a female* mathematics student at TU Wien and writing your master’s thesis during the winter semester of 2026? Are you also interested in research and would like to experience day-to-day work at the faculty firsthand? Then apply for the fem*MA Award! The winners will receive a certificate at the award ceremony during the Faculty Council meeting on December 2, 2026. If possible, you will be hired as a student assistant in research and administration for up to four months, working 10 hours per week.

Disclaimer: Due to the current budget situation, we unfortunately cannot yet say whether these positions will be available. However, we are doing our best to find a solution. Please note that any other employment may also make you ineligible for the financial portion of the award. In any case, we will do our best to ensure that you are assigned a position.

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a relevant degree program
• No completed master’s or diploma degree in the relevant field
• Very good academic performance
• Work on a relevant master’s thesis or imminent start of such work
