International Welcome and Engagement Center (IWEC)

The International Welcome and Engagement Center supports the international community at TU Wien. IWEC provides advising and programming for international degree-seeking students, international staff and faculty, as well as international guests.

As a central connection point across units within the Vice Rectorate for Research, Innovation and International Affairs, the Vice Rectorate for Human Resources, and the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs, IWEC supports members of the international community throughout their transition to TU Wien. We also place special emphasis on connecting international and domestic members of the university to foster a strong welcoming culture and to enable sustained international engagement at home.

Our website offers resources tailored to each key group we serve. For more information, please select the section below that best matches your situation at TU Wien. As a new unit founded in 2025, our website is still under development, and additional information will be added on a regular basis.
