fem*MA Advancement Awards Summer 2026

We are awarding advancement awards in the form of positions as student assistants (up to 10 hours) in research and administration.
These positions are for female master's students of technical mathematics (all branches) with the aim of integrating them into the respective institutes and working groups and encouraging them to pursue a doctorate. They are limited to at most four months, but no longer than the completion of the Master's or Diploma programme. 

The requirements are 

  • enrolment in a relevant degree programme
  • no completed Master's or Diploma degree in the subject
  • very good academic performance
  • work on a relevant Master's thesis or imminent start.

Apply by March 6th, 2026!

Send the following documents to femma@tuwien.ac.at:

  • Applications with a transcript of records
  • letter of motivation
  • details of the (expected) start date of the Master's thesis, topic, working title and supervisor
  • short letter of recommendation from the supervisor
