Not familiar with geodesy and geoinformation? We can change that: Come to the GEO open house and immerse yourself in the world of satellite data, laser scanners, virtual and augmented reality tools, and much more. We are happy to welcome entire school classes, but anyone else who is interested is also welcome.

Guided tour – for groups – by appointment – subject to a fee

On our guided tour, you will visit the research reactor and learn about its functions and benefits. The tour covers topics such as nuclear physics, reactor physics, neutron and radiation physics, and radiation protection. For school groups, a guided tour of the ATI is a practical addition to the physics curriculum for Year 8 and/or Year 12.

For women – counseling – as an individual – no appointment necessary – free of charge

We offer information specifically for (young) women on choosing a degree program, career profiles, and starting your studies at TU Wien.

Lecture – as a group – after registration – free of charge

We offer school classes an insight into the world of surveying, earth observation, laser scanners, robotics, geosciences, and much more. Teachers book exciting lectures in advance, each lasting one school hour, which are then presented to the students via Zoom by our scientists.

As a public library, the TU Wien Library invites school pupils and anyone else who is interested to come and get to know the library and make use of its services. From guided tours to support with pre-scientific work, the TU Wien Library offers a wide variety of programmes for different target groups.

‘Studieren Probieren’ offers you the chance to get a taste of your chosen degree programme! A student will accompany you to a selected lecture or seminar, after which you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about the degree programme.

The Pilot Factory at TU Wien offers guided tours for school groups as well as individuals. In addition, workshops are being developed for pupils aged approximately 8–14, focusing on topics such as the energy consumption of different manufacturing processes, environmentally friendly production, the recyclability of materials and innovation processes.

Welcome.TU.code offers basic computer science workshops, an introduction to software and hardware, and programming. The program is aimed at anyone, especially those with a migrant background or from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, who have not yet had access to computer science.
