Welcome to the Institute of Energy Systems and Thermodynamics

At the Institute of Thermodynamics and Energy Technology, we have made it our purpose to develop the methods and technologies for a future-efficient, sustainable, and, above all, CO₂-neutral energy supply and utilization. Our research focuses on both systemic and technological considerations of various energy aspects. We do applied research and creating innovative solutions in cooperation with leading companies and research organizations at national and international levels. We educate students in the fundamentals of energy technology and teach them to deepen their knowledge in specialized topics. In doing so, we equip them with the skills to contribute to a more climate-friendly world.
