Together with other departments of TU Wien, the Center for Research Data Management contributes to a coordinated expansion of technical research data management services. We strive to further develop and constantly adapt these according to your needs. Your feedback and suggestions are therefore very welcome.

TU Wien Research Data is the institutional data repository of TU Wien. It is used to share research data with defined access and usage rights publicly or with restrictions, and to store it long-term. Each uploaded dataset has a unique identifier (DOI) and can refer to related publications, other datasets, or software. TU Wien Research Data supports the FAIR principles and fulfils the requirements of the funding bodies for repositories.

TU Wien DMP Tool

TU Wien DMP Tool helps members of TU Wien create data management plans (DMP) for their projects. The tool guides you through the various sections of a DMP in ten steps and offers assistance with questions, text suggestions, and additional information. Some content is filled in automatically using information from TISS and other TU Wien systems. As a result, users receive a DMP as a Word document that they can customise to their needs.

Git is a software for distributed version management of files, in particular source code. With TUgitLab, Campus IT provides an application for managing repositories based on Git. TU members can use this service when working on GitLab projects. In TUgitLab, authorised administrators can manage GitLab groups, assign project authorisations, and register external project partners as additional GitLab users.

DBRepo

DBRepo, currently available as a pilot service for members of TU Wien, is a database repository that allows you to feed data into a centralised, versioned system via common interfaces. It offers efficient access to any subset of data, even if the underlying database evolves. DBRepo enables the retrieval of results that were stored at a specific point in time and supports the FAIR principles.
