Study Assistant and Project Staff Karoline Hadek, BA BSc

Interests: Regional planning, participation, science communication, gender-equitable spatial planning, conflict research, spatial development policy

Karoline Hadek studied political science at the University of Vienna from 2018 to 2021 and spatial planning since 2021. In her bachelor's thesis, she dealt with the demands of the Green Party in the city of Vienna's spatial development plan (STEP 2025) as a counter-hegemonic practice in the socialist Vienna, and with the City of Vienna's handling of planning-related protests. She gained practical experience as a tutor, in journalism, in the city administration of Traiskirchen and in the urban research laboratory bauhaus reuse in Berlin.

Since June 2024, she has been working as a student assistant in the Regional Planning and Regional Development research unit and is responsible for administrative support for the website, curriculum planning and social media. She is also part of the project staff at land.mobil:LAB.
