Usability of public transport operating areas for sustainable city logistic

RemiHub project include (1) the development of new inner-city logistics areas, (2) the shortening of the last mile in the logistics chain and (3) the use of the resulting improved framework conditions for the realistic operation of a multimodal logistics chain. In order to achieve this, a temporary co-use of suitable or unused public transport areas in the context of sustainable city logistics will be investigated. This change in the last mile is associated with the expectation that the use of non-motorised transport modes and autonomous and/or electrified vehicles in inner-city last mile logistics will be realised in a sustainable manner and even that a redistribution with (rail-bound) means of public transport will be possible.
