ENRIO 2025 Congress in Ljubljana (22.-24. September 2025)

The ENRIO 2025 Congress in Ljubljana, opens an external URL in a new window took place from September 22 to 24, 2025. The European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) focuses on research integrity and the further development of responsible research. The congress was aimed at experts in the fields of research integrity and research ethics and addressed relevant topics and challenges such as international research collaboration, power dynamics and forms of discrimination in research, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Marjo Rauhala presented the concept of the TU Wien Research Ethics Committee: Beyond approval: experiences and lessons from constructing research ethics review, opens an external URL in a new window.

The concept generated a lot of interest and discussion within the community. The consultative approach to research ethics review as has been developed and implemented at TU Wien is also currently being piloted in the Horizon Europe-funded CHANGER project, opens an external URL in a new window.
