dataTUdiscovery (TU Wien fuTUre fit Project)
Research with AI at TU Wien
dataTUdiscovery is a university-wide service center that supports researchers and students in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to scientific research. As a cross-faculty initiative funded through the rectorate’s fuTUre fit projects, it serves as the central access point for Research+AI activities across the university.
The center supports research groups throughout the entire research lifecycle, from an initial idea or research question to the implementation of functional, AI-supported research prototypes. By providing structured access to AI expertise, technical implementation, and academic integration, dataTUdiscovery lowers barriers to adopting AI in research while ensuring academic quality and responsible AI use.
dataTUdiscovery provides structured opportunities for students to engage in applied Research+AI projects as part of their academic studies. One particularly suitable and recommended entry point is the course Industrial Data Science (Univ.Prof. Fazel Ansari), which is offered within the research unit Production and Maintenance Management (PIM).
