What contribution can robots make to increase the efficiency in factories & how can they help to promote sustainability in industry?

We addressed these and similar questions at the TU Wien Children's University this year. Together with my colleagues from the Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) research group, I had the great pleasure of giving various presentations on the topic of robotics and environmental protection last week.

Our exciting mission: to explore the collaboration between humans and robots and their crucial role for a sustainable future! In the interactive lectures, the children were not only able to expand their theoretical knowledge in the field of robotics and environmental protection, but also put what they had learnt into practice using the ‘waste management’ use case.

To summarise: the enthusiastic participation and exceptional talent of the budding researchers once again showed how important it is to raise awareness of innovation and sustainability at a young age.
