Computational Methods in Applied Mathematics (CMAM 2026)
July 20 – 24, 2026 at TU Wien, Vienna, Austria
The conference will be focused on various aspects of mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. Its scope aims at fostering cooperation between researchers working in the area of theoretical numerical analysis and applications to modeling, simulation, and scientific computing. This is the 11th conference following earlier ones in Minsk in 2003 (CMAM-1), Trakai in 2005 (CMAM-2), Minsk in 2007 (CMAM-3), Bedlewo in 2010 (CMAM-4), Berlin in 2012 (CMAM-5), Strobl in 2014 (CMAM-6, opens an external URL in a new window), Jyväskylä in 2016 (CMAM-7, opens an external URL in a new window), Minsk in 2018 (CMAM-8), Vienna in 2022 (CMAM-9, opens an external URL in a new window) und Bonn in 2024 (CMAM-10, opens an external URL in a new window).
The 11th edition of the conference will take place from July 20 to July 24, 2026. The local organizing committee and the international scientific committee believe that in-person events are the best way to communicate science. Therefore, CMAM 2026 is planned as a fully in-person event.
The scientific program of CMAM 2026 will include
- invited plenary lectures,
- thematic minisymposia,
- and parallel sessions with contributed talks.
The working language of the conference is English.
The support of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), opens an external URL in a new window through the Special Research Program (SFB) Taming complexity in partial differential systems, opens an external URL in a new window (grant F65), as well as of TU Wien and the Vienna Center for Partial Differential Equations is thankfully acknowledged.

Beware of fraud attempts and scam!
We were made aware of highly convincing fraud attempts during the organization of the last CMAM conference. Participants of the CMAM conference may be contacted via email or phone by companies claiming to arrange accommodation or requesting conference fee payments via PayPal. Please note that TU Wien is the sole institution organizing CMAM 2026 and that no company has been authorized to organize any aspect of the CMAM conference. In particular, the CMAM organizers will never contact you to request credit card details or PayPal payments. If you are contacted by such companies, please inform the organizers as soon as possible.
