Jakob Pesendorfer

Jakob Pesendorfer completed his Master of Science (cum laude) in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences at TU Delft. Alongside his studies, he worked as a teaching assistant in the fields of Urban Design and Spatial Planning and as co-chair of the student platform Polis – Platform for Urbanism and Landscape Architecture. He completed his bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning at TU Wien, where he worked as a teaching assistant at future.lab. 

Jakob gained practical experience in local and international Planning, Architecture and Urban Design offices in Vienna, Zurich and Munich. In addition to his work as a project assistant in the Local Planning Research Unit at Technische Universität Wien, he brings the Dutch design and planning approach to the local discourse in practice.

In his research and publication activities, he deals with the interface between Urban Design, Urban and Spatial Planning, focusing on the spatial dimensions of Circular Societies and Regenerative Territories. Through his multi-scale approach, he deals with systemic approaches that open up paths beyond conventional planning systems.
