Our institute is located in the Freihaus building of TU Vienna (see map, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster). In the yellow area take an elevator to the 8th floor. Then, turn right twice and ring the doorbell to enter the institute. Go straight ahead till the end of the corridor. The office of Prof. Held is on your left hand side.
 

From AIRPORT to WIEN-MITTE
Vienna International Airport is only 22 km/13 miles away and offers both domestic and international flights. Alternatively, Schnellbahn S7 runs daily operated by ÖBB, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster.
 

From TRAIN STATIONS to KARLSPLATZ
- From Wien Mitte, take the subway line U4 for Hütteldorf to Karlsplatz.
- From Wien Westbahnhof, take the subway line U3 for Simmering to Volkstheater, and from here, U2 for Karlsplatz (end station).
- From Wien Hauptbahnhof, take the subway line U1 for Leopoldau to Karlsplatz.
- From Wien Praterstern, take the subway line U1 for Reumannplatz to Karlsplatz.

Car parking on the streets in Vienna
Most streets in Vienna require parking permits. Short-term parking covers all districs around our institute: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10 pm parking fees apply. Parking vouchers (German: Parkscheine) can be purchased at tobacconists, petrol stations, or cigarette machines.
