Selection procedures for Building Science and Environment and Green Chemistry

At present, only the master's programmes "Building Science and Environment" and "Green Chemistry" have a limited number of places available at TU Wien, so that an selection procedure is carried out. All other master's programmes offered at TU Wien are without selection procedure.

The master's programme Building Science and Environment is an English-language programme at the Vienna University of Technology. Information on the programme, the selection procedure and the deadlines can be found in the programme info.

Pre-registration from 1 November 2024, 12:00 p.m. to 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Proof of previous education until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Upload motivational letter until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Upload CV until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Upload worksamples until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Ranking and result of the selection procedure until March 2025
Start of study 1 October 2025

The master's programme Green Chemistry is a joint programme of the TU Wien with the University of Vienna and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna. Pre-registration from 1 November 2024, 12:00 p.m. to 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Proof of qualitative admission requirements until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Upload motivational letter until 12 February 2025, 11:59 p.m.
EChem-Test, online, several, freely selectable dates during second half of February 2025
Ranking and result of the selection procedure until March 2025
Start of study 1 October 2025

Assessment procedure for Architecture

For the master's programme Architecture an assignment has to be completed as part of the pre-registration.

In addition to the written application made to the Admissions Office, electronic documents must be submitted as part of the pre-registration.

Deadlines and dates for assessment procedure winter semester 2025/26

Two consecutive assessment procedures are offered for each semester. We recommend completing the assessment procedure as early as possible, otherwise you will only find out very late whether admission to study at TU Wien is even possible.

Upload portfolio by June 5, 2025
Assignment: Publication: June 3, 2025, upload by June 5, 2025
