Mina Chamraci is a student assistant at SRF and MOVE. Her work focuses on geographic information systems, spatial data analysis, and information and graphic design.

As part of her master's thesis, she is currently developing an ML method for the automated detection of urban heat islands based on open geodata. In two research projects (cycLINK and Klimagärten³), she is working on the design of an Austria-wide bike-sharing system and on the application of ML to estimate the CO₂ sink potential of private gardens.

Her research interests include new methods of spatial research, the interface with (geo)informatics, and the potential of big data, sensor technology, and linked data sources for spatial analysis. She is also interested in issues of climate change adaptation and health-related and accessible spatial planning, in particular the effects of spatial structural patterns on vulnerable population groups and people with chronic diseases.
