Associate Prof. Mohammad N. Ivaki, PhD was appointed Associate Professor at the Vienna University of Technology with effect from January 1, 2025. He is assigned to the Institute of Discrete Mathematics and Geometry (E104) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Geoinformation at TU Wien.

Mohammad N. Ivaki comes from Iran. He completed his bachelor's degree in mathematics at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran and then obtained his master's degree in mathematics at another university in Iran. He then moved to Canada, where he completed his doctorate at Concordia University in 2013. He then joined the Vienna University of Technology, where he initially worked as a researcher and lecturer and was appointed Associate Professor in 2025. In the meantime, he worked as a researcher at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto (2017-2020). Mohammad N. Ivaki's scientific achievements include the Carl Herz Prize, the Lise Meitner Fellowship from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and several Best Paper Awards from the Faculty of Mathematics and Geoinformation at TU Wien. He was also awarded the Jerrold E. Marsden Fellowship of the Fields Institute in 2017.

Mohammad N. Ivaki's scientific home is in the Convex and Discrete Geometry research area (E104-06) at the above-mentioned institute. His research focuses on geometric flows, partial differential equations and convex geometry.
