Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.sc. CV: Jürgen Cito (born in Tirana, Albania) grew up in Kottingbrunn in the district Baden and studied computer science at TU Wien. He received his doctorate summa cum laude from the University of Zurich in 2018 with a dissertation on the topic “Software Runtime Analytics for Developers, opens an external URL in a new window”. He then carried out research as a postdoctoral research associate at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) until 2020 and as a research affiliate until 2021 and at the same time at Facebook as a visiting scientist. In 2020, he took advantage of the opportunity to apply for a tenure track position in the field of "Software Engineering", which he has now successfully completed by qualifying as an associate professor. He has been appointed university professor at TU Wien since 2026.

There he researches the topics of program analysis, explainability of AI models, probabilistic programs and AI-based agent systems for security testing.
