Firmenworkshop Blockchain-Technologie @ TU Wien

Workshop

Blockchains: Anwendungen, Chancen und Herausforderungen. TU Wien-Forscher präsentieren den aktuellen Forschungsstand und diskutieren im Rahmen des Workshops verschiedene Anwendungsszenarien.

Blockchains ermöglichen den manipulationssicheren Austausch von Daten sowie das Ausführen von Software, welche auf diesen Daten basiert. Dies kann zu Effizienzgewinnen und Kostenersparnissen führen, wenn dadurch z. B. auf den Einsatz einer vertrauenswürdigen dritten Partei verzichtet werden kann.
Das Anwendungspotential von Blockchains spiegelt sich darin wieder, dass diese heute nicht mehr ausschließlich als grundlegende Technologie von Kryptowährungen wie Bitcoin wahrgenommen werden, sondern auch als potentiell disruptive Technologie in vielen verschiedenen Anwendungsgebieten. In vielen dieser möglichen Anwendungsfelder werden dabei Blockchains mit Technologien des Internets der Dinge (engl. „Internet of Things“ – IoT) kombiniert, um Daten manipulationssicher abzuspeichern, zu verarbeiten und zu teilen, z. B. im Bereich Supply Chain Management. Sehr vielversprechend ist auch der Einsatz von Blockchains im Bereich digitaler Zertifikate, beispielsweise zur Authentizitätsprüfung von Dokumenten.

Wo könnten Blockchains für Ihr Unternehmen interessant sein?
Experten der TU Wien präsentieren im Rahmen der Veranstaltung den aktuellen Forschungsstand zum Thema Blockchain. Gemeinsam können Sie Use Cases besprechen und kooperative F&E-Vorhaben planen. Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich insbesondere an F&E-Verantwortliche, Technische und IT-Leiter_innen bzw. an Verwaltungseinrichtungen, Organisationen und Unternehmen aller Branchen, die gemeinsam (proof-of-concept-) Projekte umsetzen möchten.
