The idea for a sponsorship prize comes from the environment of the TU computer scientist Helmut Veith, who died in 2016 at the age of only 45 years. With the support of the TU Wien, the Wolfgang Pauli Institute, the Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms and donations from the circle of friends of Helmut Veith, computer science students who are interested in Veith's research areas and help to anchor computer science more strongly in society are now being supported. Students studying Helmut Veith's fields of research will be able to gain a master's degree at the TU Wien.
