Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2022 – ASHPC22

High-Performance Computing (HPC) operates at the limits of computationally feasible problems and helps to conquer new territory of science. Learning about current limitations and exchanging ideas on addressing these issues is vital for the further development in scientific and technological competitiveness. ASHPC22 will be an excellent opportunity to present and learn about the latest research results and exchange ideas between the users and providers of HPC resources.

The ASHPC22 is currently planned as an hybrid event: Participating in-person implies accommodation at the Seeblickhotel Grundlsee (Austria) (120 rooms pre-reserved), while participating online requires only a modern web-browser as well as adequate video-conference equipment.

First look at the speakers & presentations:

Matteo Ambrosetti (Northvolt)
Multiscale Methodologies for Electrolyte Characterization

Evangelis Floros (EuroHPC)
EuroHPC Exascale and Future

Thomas Monz (AQT/Universität Innsbruck)
Quantum Computing in the EU

Jean Pierre Panziera (Atos)
Future HPC Technologies

Lubomir Riha (IT4Innovations, VSB - Technical University of Ostrava)
Selected Cases of GPU Accelerated Parallel Applications at IT4Innovations

In addition, we look forward to a talk by Mark Parsons (Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre) and another presentation by NERSC (National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center).
