We explore the use of ultracold atoms and molecules for quantum science and technology.

Our goals include the use of dipolar molecules, to realize new forms of quantum matter and gain insights into the foundations of molecular collisions and chemistry. Moreover, we study molecules that facilitate tabletop precision searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. Finally, we also develop compact experimental setups to manipulate single atoms and molecules for technological applications.

Cold Molecule Retreat 2025 Conference

Conference

Information

Cold Molecule Retreat 2025 is the annual conference organized by the Cold Molecules and Quantum Technologies research area managed by Prof. Tim Langen. This event brings together researchers from the fields of laser cooling of molecules, precision measurements, and many-body physics for in-depth discussions on ongoing projects, open problems and future directions.

In 2025 the conference will be held at Voisthalerhütte in the Styrian Alps, providing an engaging environment for brainstorming, collaboration and team building. Researchers will be presenting their recent work and results, discuss important new developments in the research field and establish valuable connections within the research community.

The Cold Molecule Retreat 2025 aims to advance scientific knowledge and foster a supportive and inspiring atmosphere for researchers to push the boundaries of their respective fields.
