The enterprise risk management related research activities of the Enterprise Management Group are based upon a process oriented and an information oriented approach. In this sense risk management is a process where risks are limited, measured and controlled over time. This understanding of risk management carries over to all risk management domains. The process and informational orientation also allows the integration of risk and performance aspects. Special attention is given to the aggregation problem of the different risk adjusted performance measures and the related management systems in the context of decentrally organized enterprises.
