Cooperations and excellence initiatives

The Vienna Center for Engineering in Medicine is an interuniversity cooperation centre TU Wien and MedUni Wien. Find more information at: https://www.vicem.at/en, opens an external URL in a new window

This large-scale project "SFB PDE: Taming Complexity in Partial Differential Systems" (March 2021 to February 2025) focuses on the solution of PDEs describing the behavior of complex systems from Physics, Biology, and Technologies, using a combination of theoretical, numerical, and computational techniques. The SFB aims at creating a strongly connected research network with nodes at the University of Vienna, TU Wien, and the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria. The SFB participates also in the Vienna Center for PDEs. You will find the project site at https://sfb65.univie.ac.at/., opens an external URL in a new window

The Vienna School of Mathematics is a joint doctoral programme of the mathematics institutions of the University of Vienna and TU Wien, intending to provide a top-level scientific training of doctoral students in all fields of mathematics.
