The project "SFB PDE: Taming Complexity in Partial Differential Systems" (funded by FWF from March 2021 to February 2025) combines theoretical, numerical, and computational techniques from the fields of physics, biology and engineering. It has created a strongly connected research network with nodes at the University of Vienna, TU Wien, and the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria. The SFB participates also in the Vienna Center for PDEs. Visit the project site at https://sfb65.univie.ac.at/, opens an external URL in a new window for more detailed information.

The Vienna School of Mathematics is a cooperation of the mathematics institutions of the University of Vienna and TU Wien, which provides a top-level doctoral programme for students from around the world in all fields of mathematics. The Vienna Center for Engineering in Medicine is an interuniversity cooperation centre in the field of engineering in medicine which was established by TU Wien and MedUni Wien. Find more information at: https://www.vicem.at/en, opens an external URL in a new window.

The Vienna Center for Partial Differential Equations is an initiative to bundle the excellence in the research on Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) in Vienna, to strengthen the Viennese PDE activities, and to provide a contact point for interdisciplinary projects involving PDEs in applications.
