The project series Art and science in dialogue was founded in 2019 by Anna and Andrei Pimenov at the TU Wien and organizes art projects at regular intervals. The idea of the projects is to facilitate a dialogue between scientists and artists.

The first project took place in November 2019 under the title techArt: Art in the lab and was carried out by artist Ivan Chemakin from Saint Petersburg.

In October 2021, the continuation of the project series followed under the name techArt: Karlsplatz different with two artists, Irina Roon from Saint Petersburg and Tinatin Chkhikvishvili from Tbilisi, both of whom showed Karlsplatz from its most diverse sides.

A benefit exhibition in support of the Ukrainian artist Anastasiia Ptashyts was organized by techArt together with the municipality of Guntramsdorf and took place from 20.05.-20.06.2022 under the title Interstation in the town hall of Guntramsdorf. The paintings of the benefit exhibition were also exhibited at the Atomic Institute of TU Wien from 23.06.-30.06.2022.

Another benefit exhibition took place from 25-29 July at the Gerbrunn Town Hall in Germany.

In November 2023 there will be a new project titled Old Art - New Science with two Georgian artists and sisters Tutu & Tsisia Kiladze.
