Gunnar Grandel (MOVE) and Imge Akcakaya White (ITÜ Istanbul), together with their colleagues Imre Keserü and Lluis Martinez (VUB Brussels) from the StreetForum project, organised a special session in which the two sister projects in the ENUAC call were able to exchange their results.
The StreetForum project focused on participatory methods for reaching consensus: Hilda Tellioglu (TU Vienna) gave a presentation on ‘Playful approaches to street transformation’ and Lluis Martinez and Lotte Luykx (VUB Brussels) spoke on ‘Narrative-based approaches to street transformation’. The ACCTRA project focused more on the integration of real-life experiments in street space into planning processes. For the tactical urbanism pilot project in Maltepe, Istanbul, Imge Akcakaya Waite (ITÜ Istanbul) presented multi-stakeholder participation, Bekir Bartin (Özyegin University Istanbul) discussed stated choice surveys, simulations and initial insights from the evaluation, and Bahadir Kesan (Maltepe Municipality) concluded with a presentation on the institutionalisation of tactical urbanism in the district administration. Gunnar Grandel gave insights into the pilot project in Klagenfurt with his presentation ‘Achieving transformation through involvement and evidence? Reflecting street experiments' impact on planning processes.’
