“Spaces of contestation” was the title of the international ESPPRIT research network's symposium at TU Wien on September 18 and 19, 2025. In his keynote, our colleague Johannes Suitner talked about approaches to researching conflict in regional sustainability transformations. Based on his recent projects, he highlighted the relevance of future expectations, strategic planning, and Theories of Change as three key arenas for negotiating stability and change.
