Toni Baković, Delara Etezad, and Prof. Teresa Liberto participated in the Earth Construction Forum (ECF) 2025, held on October 3–4, 2025, at OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland.
Within the framework of the BasaltClayCrete project, an interdisciplinary collaboration with Umdasch Group Ventures and Fiber Elements, Toni Baković and Delara Etezad presented parts of their ongoing research on sustainable, earth-based construction materials, supervised by Prof. Teresa Liberto, Prof. Agathe Robisson, and Prof. Philipp Preinstorfer.
Delara Etezad presented her work on the bond performance between dry basalt yarns and earthen materials, while Toni Baković discussed the potential of clay-rich residues for poured earth construction.
The forum brought together experts from academia and industry to discuss recent developments in earthen construction and its contribution to sustainable building practices. Participation in ECF 2025 offered valuable opportunities for scientific exchange and collaboration within the international research community.
