We have a new doctor among us!
Our dear colleague Steffen Kittlaus successfully defended his PhD thesis "Quantification of Trace Contaminant Emissions on the River Basin Scale", which was supervised by Matthias Zessner and Ottavia Zoboli.
Over the past years, Steffen has conducted excellent research, both within and beyond the scope of his PhD thesis, and has undoubtedly become a top expert in modelling trace contaminants in river catchments. It was thus an immense pleasure to finally celebrate and formally acknowledge his achievements.

We would like to thank Prof. Peter Krebs from Technische Universität Dresden and Prof. Stephan Fuchs from the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) for their role as evaluators and examiners, as well as Prof. Christian Schranz, Dean of Academic Affairs for Civil Engineering, for chairing the commission.
