Last week we had the chance to present our latest research on the potential of river bank filtration for water supply in Austria (“Ufer-Los”). It was a successful project meeting together with our colleagues from Umweltbundesamt - Environment Agency Austria, interested stakeholders from water utilities and representatives of the Federal Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management.
One more year to go and to investigate the requirements for bank filtrate and treatment trains, and to assess their suitability for tackling current challenges posed by emerging pollutants.
