Workshops DWA and Tethys

Our team kicked off the week by hosting not one but two international workshops!
The DWA Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall expert group KA 6.1, “Microbiology in wastewater treatment”, of which Norbert Kreuzinger is a member, met with the main objective of jointly developing a report to consolidate knowledge of the microbiological foundations of nitrogen flows in wastewater treatment plants.
Meanwhile, in a nearby seminar room, over 20 water quality experts from the Danube region who are participating in the Interreg Tethys project, coordinated by Ottavia Zoboli, came together to discuss their progress and receive training on implementing harmonised databases. These innovative tools are designed to facilitate the effective management and use of micropollutant concentration data within and across national borders, primarily to support emission modelling and water quality assessment.
