The program consisted of three oral presentation blocks in the morning, convened by Prof. Karsten Schulz, Prof. Kamila Hlavčová and Dr. Péter Kalicz, respectively, and continued with a poster session in the afternoon.

After an introduction by Prof. Günter Blöschl the presentation topics of 15 talks spanned from climate change and water balance in Central Europe over hydrological modelling and extreme events to soil, vegetation and erosion processes. Throughout the morning, a wide range of topics covering experimental work, modelling and management challenges was covered and engaging discussions continuing into the coffee breaks were led.

Following the lunch break, 35 posters were presented in a short pitch, showing an impressive range of topics. The posters covered topics in the fields of hydrology, land management, meteorology, remote sensing, hydraulics and stimulating discussions throughout the poster session concluded the conference.

We are happy to have been able to welcome many young professionals, PhD and Master students, as well as Postdocs from the collaborating universities and providing them with an opportunity for networking both among each other as well as with more experienced colleagues from their fields.

To all participants and especially our organising committee we extend our thanks for contributing to the success of the HydroCarpath conference and we hope to see you again next year on the 10th of December 2026.
