Activation of the network account (Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.) required for newly enrolled students

As part of an update to our IT guidelines, new students must now activate their network account before they can use services such as Wi-Fi, VPN, or other network-based services at TU Wien.

How to activate:

Log in to the TU Wien login portal (login.tuwien.ac.at).
Navigate to “My student account.”
Select the “Network” tab.
Set a password for your network account there.

Note: After setting the password, it may take a while for all network systems (e.g., Wi-Fi, VPN access) to become available.
