The AIV Schinkel Competition is an international, open ideas and funding competition. Students and graduates in the fields of urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, civil engineering, transport planning and related disciplines, as well as artists and students of fine arts, are invited to submit their projects by 9 February 2026.

This year's theme is Luckenwalde, a city in transition south of Berlin. The competition seeks a vision for a model neighbourhood that will provide impetus for the entire city's development. This includes the economy and housing, a good physical and social climate in the city, transportation and new aesthetic qualities. The vision should motivate the further development of Luckenwalde.

The task, opens an external URL in a new window is specified for each discipline, with the expressly desired possibility of cooperation for interdisciplinary work.
