The INDUSTRIEMAGAZIN partial scholarships for the "MSc Engineering Management" at TU Wien went on to Niklas Fip and Ayes Ece Özcan. Last Friday, the hearing for the two partial scholarships took place at the TU Wien.The applicants Ayes Ece Özcan and Niklas Fip were able to prevail and received the scholarship certificates from Prof. Peter Kopacek, academic program director.

Niklas Fip was born in the Ruhr area, where he also grew up. He gained his academic background at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, specializing in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Finance. Today he works for a European venture capital fund. "At a time when digitalization is changing the industry, this combination of engineering and business modules is particularly relevant to making successful decisions as a manager," he says. The scholarship will help him to bring his career and his technological knowledge to the next level and to fulfill his dream of having his own company.

Ayes Ece Özcan comes from Ankara and is currently still in Turkey. She studied Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University. Her previous work and internship experience has provided her with a range of technical knowledge. However, as a next step, she wants to examine the social aspects of this area by analyzing decision-making and policy-making processes. "I have always wanted to be in a socio-technical environment, not only to see the theoretical aspect, but also to analyze the social context in order to observe the real consequences," says Özcan.
