On April 25, 2021 the participants of the MSc program Engineering Management had their first ZOOM "Alumni Expert Talk” on “Product Safety and Compliance around the World”.  The talk was given by Dipl.-Ing. Michael Jungnitsch, MSc – graduated from the program 2007-2008.

After a brief presentation on the state of the art, focus was placed on product safety compliance, global supply chains, risk mitigation approaches, general safety requirements, market surveillance and product recalls. The global market access section was dedicated to testing & inspection certification, international approvals and executive risks. The content was structured, with many examples and personal insights, making the presentation easy to follow. The Q&A section in the end rounded up the event.

We also had the chance to watch a short video about Global Validity, a company that applies technology to support their customers in certification processes worldwide. This was a very good example and allowed us to even better understand the topic.
