The .digital blog offers posts on interesting topics on digitalization matters in general and the digital transformation at TU Wien in particular:

.dcall 2023 is open! Submit digitalisation ideas, help shape the sustainable future of TU Wien!

In the last two years, 40 .dcall projects have shown us examples of how efficient, sustainable and resource-saving work, teaching, research and learning could function through digital transformation. Especially now it is necessary to continue working on the digital transformation - that is why digitalisation projects by TU Wien, for TU Wien can be funded again this year.

.dcall 2023 is open for submission

Digitalisation brings with it sustainability, efficiency and resource conservation in various dimensions. Already in the .dcall 2020, we placed a lot of emphasis on these topics when selecting the submissions. Today, the results of these .dcall projects show us possible positive effects of digitalisation. In the last two years, the Rectorate has funded a total of 40 digitalisation projects through the .digital office as part of the .dcall programme. 20 projects were successfully completed in the .dcall 2020 and another 20 projects in the .dcall 2021. Our .dcall projects have laid the foundation for the digital transformation of TU Wien in various areas. The success and also the demand for the continuation of the .dcall programme have confirmed that this form of project funding is an important instrument for the joint work on the digital transformation of TU Wien. In addition, a committed and motivated .dcall community has already formed in the past two .dcall rounds. We also want to continue expanding this community and are now launching .dcall 2023, opens an external URL in a new window.

Digitalisation is without question a topic of the future - also at TU Wien. That is why it was particularly important for the Rectorate to continue to invest in future topics despite the well-known financial challenges. Cutting budgets to save money would be the easy way out, but supporting innovative digitalisation solutions and seeing them as an investment in the future is the right way. On behalf of the Rectorate and together with the .digital office, I am therefore pleased to invite all TU employees to submit their digitalisation ideas by 31 January 2023! The colleagues in the .digital office will answer all your questions about the submission and the process of the .dcall 2023 at the information event on 18 January 2023, opens an external URL in a new window. Information on the new .dcall and details of the event can be found in the .dcall 2023 TU coLAB space, opens an external URL in a new window.

Take advantage of this opportunity and help shape the future of TU Wien!
