From elemental analysis to supramolecular bioanalysis

The research groups within this division develop and apply mass-spectrometry for the analysis of elements and molecules including surface analytics, in-depth proteomics and metabolomics and mass imaging. By means of atmonic force microscopy, single molecules are detected and analysed on surfaces. Methods for the separation and the confirmation of incompatible environmental compounds are developed in the field of element-, and trace analysis.
