Summer School at Saga University

22.09 - 26.09.2025 | Saga, Japan | Application Deadline: 13.07.2025

About

In times of increasing globalisation, the preservation and meaningful use of regional cultural diversity and historical environments is becoming increasingly important. The workshop aims to sensitise and qualify students for an international way of working in the fields of architecture and urban planning.
The focus is on research and design approaches for the preservation and utilisation of cultural and historical spaces in the pan-Asian region.

Participants will not only learn about the history and current situation of Japanese cities based on the Saga region, but will also explore the cultural exchange between Japan and Austria.

Mixed groups of Vienna and Saga University students will engage in group discussions and activities, culminating in presentations.

Students from TU Wien will be granted Travel Support from our Japanese Partner.

Application

All properly enrolled students of the Faculty of architecture and spatial planning at TU Wien are eligible to apply for the program. Master's students will be given preference.

Applications must be submitted by email to jasec@tuwien.ac.at no later than July 13, 2025.
