The Persistent Identifier Heist: An Escape Room Activity

Workshop

As part of the Open Science Festival 2025, TU Wien Bibliothek offers two formats led by library staff members that combine knowledge transfer with interactivity – with a focus on exchange and joint idea development.

Escape Room on ORCID, DOI and ROR: Persistent identifiers (PIDs) are digital identifiers that uniquely and permanently identify researchers, publications and institutions. Working together in teams to solve tricky puzzles, participants will gain an understanding of how PIDs work and experience their tangible benefits for visibility, networking and findability.
