An ORCID iD distinguishes one researcher from another, giving each researcher a unique identification. It is also a main component of a researcher's digital identity. The first part of the workshop gives an overview of how an ORCID iD can effectively be used in different research settings and throughout a researcher’s career. The second part focuses on the creation and use of an ORCID iD and the curation/updating of your ORCID record (i.e. the information connected with the ORCID iD), as well as the ORCID-related services within TU Wien. This is a hands-on workshop, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions related to ORCID iDs. It is not necessary to create an ORCID iD prior to the workshop.
