TU Wien Bibliothek promotes women in technology

SHE goes DIGITAL: TU Wien Bibliothek is organising interactive workshops as part of the "Initiative Digitalisierung Chancengerecht" for equal opportunities in digitisation. The workshops offer women the opportunity to learn digital skills and gain insights into the work of a research library. Through interaction with participants and with the workshop team, they make contacts and explore career opportunities.

Data Visualisation

  • Short overview of the history, functionality and basic concepts of data visualisation
  • Presentation of current examples of interactive 2D and 3D data visualisation methods and exercises

Software Carpentry (2 days)

Wednesday. 20 March, 08:00-14:00 and Thursday, 21 March, 09:00-17:00, lecture room, 5th floor, TU Wien Bibliothek

  • Official Certificate
  • Day 1: Introduction to the command line environment "Bourne Again Shell" (Bash) and version management software "git"
  • Day2: Programming language Python and introduction to basic concepts, and creation of simple data visualisations

Semantic technologies, knowledge graphs and large language models

  • Introduction to the theory and exercises with Python for the development of simple semantic searches
