Three of our colleagues (Franziska Artelsmair, Christina Raffelsberger, and Markus Lagler) came up with a Christmas project during Advent: a gingerbread train. The train consists of a locomotive, a first-class car, and a second-class car, and represents a Railjet. In addition, each of the 22 cm long parts has a base plate with rails, sleepers, and track ballast made of brittle. The working time was just over 15 hours.
The train is currently on display in the research unit and exudes Christmas scents and atmosphere until it can be eaten at the Christmas party.
With this in mind: Merry Christmas from the Research Unit Track-bound Transportation Systems!
