Our programme included:

  • Developing a common understanding of rural areas.
    • On the one hand, rural areas remain largely unexplored.
    • Since the onset of the pandemic, however, we have witnessed a renewed interest in the countryside.
    • Rural regions are places of social innovation.
    • Through land.mobil:LAB, we aim to redefine rural mobility culture.
  • Find out more about current innovation projects.
  • We will also exchange ideas about our working methods, future plans and responsibilities.
  • We will also introduce our new team members.
    • Our new project manager is Alois Humer, Professor of Regional Planning and Regional Development at the Vienna University of Technology, as well as Head of Research in the Regional Planning and Regional Development Research Department.
    • Jakob Stürzenbaum has been supporting us as a project management assistant since the summer.
    • Barbara Steinbrunner has recently joined us to drive our innovation projects forward.
    • Daniel Youssef is leaving us to pursue his passion project: the Thermenlinie climate and energy model region.
    • Our former project manager, Sibylla Zech, has retired.

We look forward to inspiring collaborations within the LML team and with our LML community!
