Together with district council David Schwab the student group explored the most recent city
development projects of the district starting at Reumannplatz. The redesigned plaza offered a good opportunity to dive into the key-characteristics of the dense and diverse neighborhood and to discuss mobility- and city planning from a perspective of communal politics.
The walk continued alongside the freshly introduced bike lanes of Davidgasse to pause at the heart of the “Supergrätzl” in Herzgasse, witnessing its last construction works before completion. Up next was a rather different neighborhood at “Neues Landgut” with its
contemporary city architecture and open, car less public space concept.
The walk concluded in the Favoritenstraße, where broken-up asphalt implied the in-progress redesign of the busy shopping street and offered a perfect chance to recapitulate on the complexity of mobility planning in multiused city-spaces.
