The extension of the strict lockdown in Vienna brought some short-term changes for the start of the 27th cohort of the MSc "Real Estate Investment & Valuation". The planned personal meeting at the TU Wien was no longer possible, so the Welcome Reception was relocated to the virtual room of a Zoom meeting. The 30 participants in the MSc "Real Estate Management & Valuation" master’s course met at Zoom on April 15, 2021. In a short training session, the new students received an overview of the most important tools that they will use intensively in the next two academic years.
In the official part of the Welcome Reception Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bob Martens, FRICS welcomed the participants once more at the TU Wien and gave them an outlook on the coming four semesters. He emphasized that the students will benefit from their constantly expanding knowledge and the growing network right from the start. All in all, this master’s degree offers many opportunities for personal development and opens a large number of doors that can be used as required.
In the subsequent introductory session, the students talked about their training, professional milestones and private interests. Common hobbies have already been found that will enable networking on different levels in the future.
The virtual welcome reception was a successful start to the MSc "Real Estate Management & Valuation". In any case, we are already looking forward to the personal meeting at the TU Wien as soon as this is possible again.
The team of the Continuing Education Center of the TU Wien wishes all participants a good start and good luck for the next four semesters!
