Quantum Information and Thermodynamics

Our group aims to understand the interplay of information and physics, specifically in the domain of quantum physics. Our research interests range from topics such as the fundamental thermodynamic limits to information gain about and control over quantum systems, to theoretical questions regarding the characterisation and verification of multipartite and high-dimensional entanglement, including the application of these methods in quantum computers, quantum networks, and quantum communication protocols, to applied problems and experimental realizations in real-world quantum-optics laboratories in collaboration with our partners. Our research is thus positioned at the interface of quantum theory and its applications in quantum technologies.
