Some information about applying for the Erasmus program:

Formally, all regular students can start an Erasmus stay starting from the third semester.

However, the candidates should have at least 90 ECTS points at the final stage of the application process.

Proof of language skills is required as part of the application, i.e. at the latest a few days before the application deadline. In exceptional cases, proof of language proficiency can be submitted after consultation with the Coordinator.

We offer individual consultation for the applicants. Please apply here: anna.pimenov@tuwien.ac.at

During the main application phase of Erasmus program (registration in TISS at Mobility Services, opens an external URL in a new window from 01.02 to 15.03 of the current year) the places for the subsequent academic year are allocated.

In addition, from 01.07 to 15.10 the remaining places for the summer semester of the starting academic year are allocated. The first contact with the International Office and the Faculty coordinator should usually be made half a year before the deadline.

If there is more than one applicant for the same place, a ranking will be made on the basis of the academic performance and the progress of study. For this reason it is recommended to select three universities in the application.

If the ranking is not high enough, the Coordinator will try to make an Erasmus stay possible within other options available.
