Throughout Austria, the Innovation Supporting Public Procurement (IÖB) and ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG were looking for innovation ideas for AI support in the processing of passenger rights enquiries. In cooperation with Seven Fountains IT Solutions GmbH, the Research Unit of Track-bound Transport Systems took part in the Innovation Challenge with the innovation idea "AI-Processing - AI-supported data processing of passenger rights enquiries". From a total of 18 submissions, the jury (consisting of two members of the IÖB and four members of ÖBB) selected the submitted idea as one of the best innovation ideas on 12 May 2023. On 30.05.2023, the cooperation team was given the opportunity to present the submitted idea in detail as part of an innovation dialogue and was thus able to deepen the content of the idea with the jury and enter into a direct exchange.

For ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG, the innovation idea represents a solid basis for the implementation of automated processes for passenger rights enquiries and we are pleased to be able to contribute to this in the development process.
