“The study programme in spatial planning at the Vienna University of Technology is celebrating its 50th anniversary. This is an occasion to look back, but even more importantly to look forward.” In total, 53 contributions by 113 authors (mostly in German) reflect on recent developments in the field and affirm spatial planning as a tool to ensure sustainable development of our surroundings and our society.

Dragana Damjanovic expands on what is ahead for the Research Unit of Law: “One of the key tasks of our Research Unit in the next few years will be to explore a comprehensive redesign of the spatial planning laws of Austria’s federal states. Comparative legal studies will play a major role.”
